Moondream Soundproof Curtain

The Moondream Soundproof Curtain uses our own patented technology (U.S. Patent N° 9475260) with 3 layers of strategically assembled materials to obtain the best results in sound insulation that can be achieved with a fabric curtain. Our product has been tested by independant laboratories to confirm its perfomance.

  • Sound insulation: Noise reduced by four-fold, reaching a drop of up to 7 decibels (1). Reverberation of sound in the room reduced for a quieter atmosphere, e.g. for a surface area of approximately 215 ft² the reverberation time is reduced by 0.4 seconds (2).
  • Thermal insulation: Up to 37% reduction of heating costs in winter (3) and a drop in temperature during summer (4).
  • Light insulation: 100% blackout effect for improved sleep quality.

Lovely curtains, very thick and heavy. Blocks light, muffles noise - they won't block all sound but nothing fabric will. This is the second set I've purchased, now that I've moved to a new place and have more windows that need curtains.

I bought this expensive curtain in order to block some noise coming from the neighbors side. Unfortunately the curtains did not absorb almost any of the sound and I'm not satisfied with the product.

I'm totally happy with these curtains, they do what they were designed to do. I live in San Francisco where the streets are always packed with people and street noise. With these curtains my apartment is noticeably much quieter. My home life is much better now!

Noise level has definitely been lowered, but as is listed in the product information, it will not eliminate it. Information was honest and correct. Am happy with drapes and color is rich and beautiful!

These curtains look great, very well made and have an upscale look to them. The curtains are very thick and provide almost 100% room darkening. I live about 250 ft from an major interstate highway and was looking for a product that helped with the noise. Because I live so close to the highway, there is no way of completely blocking out the sound, but these curtains have drastically dampened the noise. I have another brand of soundproof/room darkening curtains on the main level of the house and the Moondream curtains definitely rate much higher in quality and effectiveness.

I bought two of these soundproof cotton curtains (MC330) about three years ago to dampen the apartment complex air conditioners right outside my bedroom window. I just added another curtain, same color (Garnett)/size to dampen sound reflection in my music room. Works perfectly. Highly recommend curtain for this purpose. It kind of looks like the heavy red curtains you see in theaters.

I bought this panel to block a window out from folks peering in and to absorb sound from my studio blaring out. The material is nice and thick and of a really good quality. The color was just as advertised and I am completely happy with this purchase.

After reading other buyers' reviews, where I learned that Moondream curtains would not block 100% of road noise, I bought a pair of them anyway. I couldn't be happier! No, they do not block 100% of all road noise. When a motorcycle or a large truck is passing by at night, I might hear it if I'm still awake. The noise reduction is noticeable, though, and normal light car/truck traffic is quite a bit less intrusive. I've used a fan as a white noise machine for a number of years, and between Moondream curtains and my fan, I am good to sleep through the night. Before I bought these curtains, I bought a pair from another retailer online. They were pictured as a dark maroon red, but when they arrived, they were a bright red. When I ordered the dark red curtains from Moondream, they were exactly as pictured on the website.
